Dayton Daytona ZR tires
Are they any good? I bought a set of wheels with them on. Front are 235/40ZR17 and rear are 255/35ZR17. The tires says Dayton Daytona ZR on the sidewall. I've never heard of this brand, but the guy that I bought them from was pretty enthusiastic about having just put them on. He said they were made by Bridgestone. Any thoughts guys?

They sound alright but I wouldn't go with Firestone. Just my opinion.

a friend of mine used does tires, make sure your tires are properly inflated, his was a little deflated and BOOM .... messed up his bodykit. Another guy I know checks his tires every other week and only problem he had with them is that the thread eats away quick. Goodluck!

sc,
I think you are referring to the rim protector bead. Many tires are designed with them now. I don't think they do much in the way of protection, though it does look cool.

Yes, I've noticed these tires are sticky, soft, and loud on the road. Good performance tires I guess (??), but it hurts on the wallet . Better start driving like a granny 'till I start making some more money! 0260n5.7, looks like you need some new tires for your GS430 too!

Nice tires, I have the same thing! Ours dont stick out as much as the Daytona's though. Unless I was seeing things before, these badboys are really noticable. Please post a close up of the daytonas.

Don't get this tires, I had excatly the same tires on my GS, it is very loud and noisy when you are almost getting stop. Moreover, the traction is so so, my traction control light are always on and slip, but the tread last very long, I expected it can last at least 25K-30K, that's all my comment.

I noticed they are loud when the car slows to a stop, but the traction seems fine to me. Maybe it's just cause they are wider, but they knock the socks off my old Potenza RE940s and vibrations from potholes and turtles are much softer/lighter/quieter as well. Kev, since the season is upon us, how do these handle in the rain?? What kind of tires do you have on now and how do you like them?

yeah...I just over looked!! The tires itself is ok, since I know it is not as good as Bridgestone or Michelin, I never tried to push the tires to the limit, so not sure about the handling on raining, but the tread wear is pretty good. I just bought a 19" rims and I will get S-03 soon.
Good luck
