I think this method harms less the wheel than normal wheel machines, which may cause scratchs and marks to wheel. Just balance the wheel/tire after you have "popped" if its necessary.
BTW can this be done with normal tire sizes(non stretch)? like 9.5" wheel + 265/40 tire.

Um, you still have to get the tire on the wheel which 99% of the time requires a machine or pry bars...
That part is not eliminated, only the airing up portion...
for the record, that tire would have easily seated with a good blast of air pressure, as most proper tire machines are capable of...
