Default Tire Size

I wanted to purchase a set of 19' inch rims. What is the correct tire size for the rim? I don't want the Rims to bend? What is the recommed size? I have the factory 16' inch rims (225/55).

Don't want the rims to bend? haha...You never know...a stock rim can bend, so that is never certain...

19x8.5 - 245/35 (common/closer to stock) or 245/40 (larger than stock tires)
19x9.5 - 275/35 (common/closer to stock) or 275/35 (larger than stock tires)

Larger wheels bend easier with the lower profile tires...It is a price you might have to pay, but worth the look

Rims that large are going to be vulnerable to bending and damage from potholes and train tracks, no matter how high-quality they are. They're expensive to repair. So if you're really worried about that, get a smaller size.

yap, all of us do not want bend rims, you just need to be EXTRA careful when driving...but luck has much to do with too as well as quality of the rims...

you could do:

245/40/19+275/35/19
or 245/35/19+275/30/19

My understanding is that, generally, forged rims are better than cast rims. And there are some casting techniques that are better than others.
