That is a good point. My ES isn't much, but when you put it next to those guys it ends up looking pretty damn good. There aren't too many people who understand how to tastefully mod a car.

Our VP of Sales had a '97 ES300, before he got his new X5. On his car we did:

Front 18x8.5 +35 225/40-18
Rear 18x8.5 +35 225/40-18 -- requires a 5mm spacer to clear strut tube, effectively becoming a +30.

I did need to remove the rear fender arch trim and roll the fender lip ever so slightly or the tire would rub a bit over big dips...

Based on this, an 18x8 +30 to +36 (all four) would clear the strut-
-the +30 will put the tire closer to the fender, I'd say +35 is about ideal.
