no by rediuclouse i mean redicuolously hot there is no kit or rim kit setup out there that can compete with this one. However i know the kit is a bit drastic for such a classy vehicle but I still cant get my mind of trading in my gs and becoming a bmw owner just for the mere fact that this car is untouchable.

I think the Hamann kit is too overdone. I think the AC SChnitzer kit is a little better. Even though I still don't like the trunk of the 7 series, the rest of the car is growing on me. It has a very nice and comfortable interior. The i-drive is pretty cool (if you like gadgets). If I had one, I would lower it and slap on a set of 22" HRE's like Bob posted (without a body kit). Looking forward to what Racing Dynamics will come up with...take a look at this...

The Hamaan and Racing Dynamics are okay in 22"... please note that they both use the old-fashioned 'stepped lip' rim design, so they are really using a 21" wheel center (as opposed the the 'reverse drop-center design' like the HRE 640R series).

BTW, the Racing Dynamics appear to be photoshopped- has anybody actually done 22" RDs on a 7? And what was Hamaan thinking with that kit? "Transformer... more than meets the eyes!"

Also, neither of those wheels are forged like the HREs, and the HREs are a bolt on application with no spacers or vehicle mods necessary.

I still prefer the HREs (granted, I am biased) for their simple style and precision craftsmanship - nevertheless, you really need to see them in person to appreciate them. The cast wheels really don't quite say $$ like the HREs... Like comparing a Fossil watch to a Raymond Weil...

... just wait for the sweet HRE/SEMA cars in November

Bob, the Fossils and Raymond Weil are almost in the same category...

More like comparing a Fossil to a IWC or JLC.

Bob is right though, if you're going to spend that kind of money of wheels, why would you buy a normal lip cast wheel? I would much rather have a forged reverse lip wheel any day of the week.

As for the RD kit, I like that kit. Not with the silver lip though...it should be body color. And on the 7, it does't look as nice. On the 3-series...phew...can't touch it. I almost bought a 3-series coupe just to do that kit...but then I remembered that BMW's break easily. (hehehe..actually, I think the 3-series is their most reliable...still isn't close to Lexus reliability though)

Horrible color combo on this one...but you can see what the entire car looks like with the kit...I think this is on a M3 or they did the M3 flares...

Yeah, I think it's photochopped also. I don't think RD has come out with a 22" wheel yet. If they did come out with this kit, I would take it over the Hamann and ACS kits and I'd slap on some 22" HRE's! I'm with Manaray on the silver lip...it should be matched to the body color and it does look better on the 3 series.

BTW, will there be new 22" wheels coming out at Sema?

Manaray, that is the E46 M3 with the M5 engine transplant at the Essen show in Germany last year.
The colour combo looks really bad in real live too!!!

blue and green usually do not go well together as color theme..BUT, on the RD emblem and some of the alpina cars, they looked amazing...that blue RD 3 is nice
