Is Wider actually Better??

I have a question. Can i put 255, 265/45/17 on lexus gs 17" stock
If Im correct that is how wide the tire is right?

255/45/17..too tall, might(most likely will) ruin your suspension componentes in the future...

265/45/17..will not fit on factory 17s..too wide

also both have limited tyre selections

Thanx GS4Will you are the man. Ill stick to 245 /45/17 or even keep the 235/45/17 original 17". What would you do?
235 or 245?

BUT, check with www.tirerack.com on the tyre specs if they have the tyres that you are looking for.

overall, most 245s are fine...
