So I bought my car used and they came with Nankang AS-1 tires. 18", I don't know the other dimensions. But I see them online for as low as $80.
It drizzled a little today and when I hit the gas from a stop, the car almost spun out. After getting home, I realized that I still have about 50% thread left. Looked online for some reviews of this tire but hardly any. Anyone have experience with this tire?
I mean, if they are cheap and almost caused me to have an accident, I'm gonna change them out. Looking for some input. Thanks.

They are, as the name suggests, made in china. I have only ever used them when I was on a budget and absolutely had to, but they were dangerously bald after 10,000-12,000 miles.
Seems the dealer you bought from threw them on because they legally couldnt sell the car without putting new tires on it.
The law doesn't say they have to be good tires
