After three of four sets of run flats for my 06 and 07 GS300/350. I have decided the next set will be regular. I get the tires rotated every 5000 and I get the oil changed. No I clickling noise comeing from the tires after the last rotate. The tech explained that I have irregular wereon the tires. It feels as if I have seomething stuck in a wheels. So I have decided to get Micheillin. I have had good experiences with Michellin on my Maximas in the past. That was almost six years ago. Any suggestion on a good tire. Road noise and number 1. Handling is number 2.

I am looking at the Michelin Primacy MXM4 225/50R17. Pros and cons appreciated.

Since the first snot hit today. need to go ahead and bite the bullet and get some tires.

Just when Bridgestone came out with new run flats with softer sidewalls and less harsh of a ride... Worth looking in to if you still want the run flat capability...

Essentially what they did was incorporate cooling fins into the sidewall of the tire so they could control heat in the sidewall when running without air - this allowed them to make the sidewalls thinner (not quite as thin as a normal tire, but it is a significant improvement)...

The new Bridgestone RE960 Pole Position RFT mitsugy is referring to is a definitely one of the better run flat tires on the market today. Performance is good and ride is similar to a non run flat, however this tire is not offered in a size that will work for this particular vehicle. There is no problem with you switching to non run flat tires just be sure the car will have a spare or inflation device in the case of a tire failure while on the road. The softer side wall will give a better overall ride but could leave the car feeling a bit loser than it has in the past. The Michelin Primacy MXM4 is also a grand touring tire, which has the softest, smoothest ride possible which is not quite as response as the performance run flats the car was built with. If a great ride is the direction you would like to go this would be a good choice. If would like to keep some performance tire feel and have a non run flat I would recommend the Michelin Pilot Sport AS+ as well.
