Disco.......
Looking at the MIchelin sheets:
P225x70x16(Std RX300 tire): Section width 9.0" on 6.5"rim
275/55/R17 Section width 11.2" on 8.5" rim
(But IS300 rims are 7" right??)
P225x70x16 O'all diameter: 28.3"
275x55xR17 28.9"
P225x70X16 Rev's per mile 741
275x55xR17 720
Would you consider 255x60xR17? Looks like it is designed for a 7" to 9" rim, while the 275x55x17 is designed for a 7.5" to 9.5" rim.
Waiting your pictures for all of us!!! I want to make a decision this week also.

well guys i got bad news, looks like we need to find another sourse for some IS300 rims to try, i met with the guy last night and he had some rims that looked like they were from a LS and he kept trying to tell me those were the ones that came on his IS...ya right, i knew it was too good to be true, he had told me $200.00 for the set. so needless to say i got my money back and left! i am still very interested in trying the IS rims on my RX i just have to hunt for some more, sorry guys i tried

In person, you won't be able to tell that it's set a bit inwards. I only knew it when I used a tape measure.

Need to use a GS nut (see upper nut which is flusher/shorter relative to the stock RX nut) instead of RX300 (longer head/nut). I didn't have an IS nut so I don't know it's fit on the RX.
