I am using a 32mm spacer because that's the smallest in the store I bought it from. The result is the tires stick out of the body a bit too much to my liking. The fronts did not need spacers. But tires rub on full turn thus making the radius now even wider )-:
Of course, if the tires were smaller - like 245/60 or even 235/60, I think it would look much better in terms of looks and function. This would be the size to get the next time I replace the 255/60 I have now on. Problem with the 245/60 is only Goodyear LX has those size. The 235/60 is available on a few Michelins. But the 65 series -widely available in most brands- just makes the whole setup too plain. Most SUVs come in this size- BMW X5, Acura MDX, Jeep GC, etc.
Anybody knows where I can get a 25mm spacer in the LA area?
The ride is exceptionally smooth and quiet, reminds me of the LS, and this is with the tires pumped up to 34psi F/R. My GS feels like a truck (almost !) when compared to the RX.
Here's the final pics.

The spacers I got had American car thread on its studs. I was able to secure some old studs from the rears of an 88 Supra and put it as a replacement. Meanwhile, to install the spacers onto the RX hubs, I used plain lugnuts from a 93 Camry. I went to the junkyard to find the Supra studs while the Camry studs have been in my storage for the last 10 years! Works good.
I still need to get chrome lugnuts with short neck for this project. I am using the ones that came with the RX but they're too long.

Wow, whitels,
Thus thread was moved to the wheels and tires forum and I missed it completeley. Sorry.
They look great! a definite improvement over the 16's. I agree that a smaller tire or spacer (or a combination) in the rear would look better, but not much.
I know 25mm spacers are available through Irontoad.com.
That first pic, from the right rear 3/4 is too sweet.
Are the dunlops that quiet?
Any issue with speedo difference?
Congratulations. You are the man.

Ride is smooth and supple, ala LS.
I can't detect any speedo issue when I drove it. Usually I see the difference right away- like the needle is already pointing at some speed when my head tells me I am only cruising at this speed. But I'm sure there is because of the measurable tire size difference. Bottom line, if there's any speedo issue, it is imperceptible.
Happy so far. I'll re-measure tonight if 15mm spacers would work to replace the 25mm. I don't have the 15mm yet but before I buy it, I wanna make sure.
BTW, thanks for your compliments.

It.... is..... beautiful.... Love it. Those IS sure is making me drool. Kind of wished I didn't purchase some chrome RX's wheels from ebay (good price though). I think I should try to bid on some IS on ebay then.
But, even nicer with 25mm spacers.
