better tires?
I bought 2003 GS300 in about one month ago,,,,
I am enjoing but I have tire problem...
When the road gets wet.... from quick start
let's say about 3000 RPM start.... my rear wheels spin....VSC comes on and you know after that....
I hate that.... I think goodyear tires are really sucks...
I had michelin on my last BMW and it never had those problems...
so I want to replace all the tires....
Any ideas? because sometimes my front tires lose control while hard brake...not often...just hate goodyear GT4
dealer said it is good tire. but I don't think so.....
I even drive much slower than what I used to do with BMW, because much bigger car...but the tire spins alot...especially wet.
and too much road noise on dry...
Please let me know best tire for LEXUS....
I want to put something with good traction and low road noise with comfort....^^

I put Dunlop SP Sport 5000s on my dad's LS for him. They were great tires for about 7,000 miles then they scalloped really bad creating a horrible vibration. The tread life was terrible at about 18k total. They're all hype I'm afraid.
Yeah, I don't know whats with Lexus using these crappy *** tires. The GS Comes with those horrible Goodyears (just read the reviews on TireRack, their best score is like 6 out of 10) and the ES comes with equally horrible Bridgestone Potenzas. As soon as I get my car (Be it new ES or CPO LS if you've been reading along in the LS forum) I plan to swap out the tires. I did a lot of research and I've narrowed it down to two tires, the Dunlop SP Sport A2's and the new Bridgestone Turanza LS-H. Both have good reviews and great scores (mid 8's for ride and noise, good traction, the Turanzas have like a 9 treadwear). The only issue is the Dunlops are older with more reviews, but my previous experience with the SP 5000s (the OEM SP 4000s were okay, just wear super fast) makes me leary. The Dunlops are like $76 a tire and the Bridgestones are like $96. A member in the LS forum has the Turanzas on his LS and really likes them.
Plus Bridgestone has a 30 day test drive where if you aren't satisfied with the tires, they'll give you a replacement or your money back, pretty sweet deal. I think I'll wind up giving the Turanzas a try.

My feedback is in the following thread:

Check out Tire Rack for it's ratings and customer reviews.
It's not a true Winter tire, but it is supposed to be able to handle it decently per the reviews.
