Hi,

I am loving my LX570 and will love it more with a high performance rotors so tell me what do u guys think, its going to be one of the following

A. EBC Brakes
B. Power slot
C. Stop Tech

I like the Power Slot best myself. Drilled rotors have a nice look but are not as durable as the slotted, the drill marks go all the way through the rotor creating weak spots for cracking to occur during repeated heating and cooling. The slotting serves the same purpose only in less abundance, but is only a surface modification. Also, on the Power Slot the slots stop just short of the edge of the rotor which also gets rid of more potential weak spots. In addition you can also get the Power Slot rotors Cyro treated (Cold Treated) to make them even more resistant to warping than a heat treated rotors

Thanks for the info, i was guessing EBC 3GD Series Sport Slotted And Dimpled Brake Rotors , i have not seen alot of reviews about them, thats why i was looking for some feed back.

in general, for street driving, you will not notice any difference in braking performance...

those that do, generally do because they upgrade to a better pad at the same time, as well as bleed or flush the brakes at the same time...

one thing I noticed when I ran slotted rotors was that the pads tended to wear a little faster than I expected, and one benefit was that they were very quiet - with added wear to the pad, they seemed to never glaze over no matter what...

I agree with mitsuguy, the difference you will notice in everyday driving is minor. A more aggressive pad would have a bigger impact as well as bleeding the brakes and using new fluid. Another instant upgrade is switching to braided stainless steel brake lines. The OEM rubber hoses on that vehicle will become more elastic over time which gives you that spongy pedal feel. The steel lines will not flex and send more response pressure to the calipers.

i ordered the ebc drilled and sloted rotors with the ebc green stuff brake pads, i will let u guys the performance once i get it installed.
