Default Is Michelin Pilot sprot A/S defective?

I just installed second set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S....from different dealer.....what the hell..

My GS pulls to right again..it happened with first set...
I think it's alignment problem but lexus says it's tire problem.since it happened after changing tires....
THat is why I tried to put second set....all new ...

Did anybody have these kind experinece?
Is this alignment? or tire problem again....
It is so interestin because when I put goodyear back, it was ok..

Default Interesting

I think it must be alignment problem because when Lexus balanced new tires it still pulls to right....
which they explained to me that it's the tire problem...
since I already got new set from not discounted store...
the pulling is less but still does it...
I just checked air pressure, and it's all same..
As I said,,, pilot are more sensitive and hard tire...
it will be more sensitive to slight turned alignment.
anyway,,, I will go tire shop and try to fix the problem ..this is what the ower of the tire shop told me...drive 2 days,, if car stay same then come back...

After they check ,,,still hard to find the problem...then I might get different set...but not pilot....anymore...something energy plus or something soft and grand turing style..

Try this, swap the left and right front tires and see if it still pulls. Not sure you can do that on the Pilots. If not rotate them front to rear but only one side at a time. Do the side it's pulling to first as it's more common to have a puller than a pusher. If it stops when swapping tires around you have a bad tire and it's warrantiable from wherever you bough it from. I'm picking up a set of cheap Sumitomo's for the winter. They ranked well against the Pilot's and for $100 apiece you can't go wrong.

newyorker - Toyo T1-S's are directional and no pulling problems for me after 2 sets. Excellent tires.

Hello fellow east coaster! Sorry to hear about your complications with these Michelins Pilot Sport A/S. I just recently had them installed to replace my stock 17 tires and so far so good. The ride is smooth and the handling is much better than the stock RE030s. Your write up will keep me alert on any problems that may come up, but so far these tires are great.

The link to my thread about these tires is below:

The Michelins are awesome. I've been running 245/45-17 Pilot Sport A/S's for months now ('99 GS400), absolutely no pulling, tremendous difference in handling over the Bridgestone RE030's. Sidewall on Michelins is very stiff, NO tire roll, I had to re-learn how to drive, they're that different. Unless you got a bad batch of Michelins, the tires aren't your problem...
