continintal dw vs the dws
#4
These are not really tires you can compare side by side. The DW is a Max Performance Summer only, so very high grip but quicker wearing and never intended to be driven below freezing. The DWS is and all-season tire with longer tread wear, less grip and the ability to drive in snow and ice. So 2 questions will get you to the right tire:
1. Will you drive the tire in snow/ice or below freezing?
Yes- DWS
No- Proceed to question 2
2. What's more important high level of grip or high tread wear?
High grip - DW
High tread wear - DWS

its a gs460 so i assume dws will have enough grip for luxury car driving..longer tread wear sounds good to me. The dws comes in a 285 30 20 I believe..The tire on the car now is a 285 25 20 veristien. Does anyone know if the 30 will work out ok, Id like to move up in the front from a 245 30 20 to a 245 35 20 as well. Its prolly a tad over spec but these band aide thin tires are not very comfortable on the roads around here, and I have 2 dings in the wheels already from pot holes.
