Default AME (Enkei) Wheels

I bid on a set of 18" AME wheels on Ebay but didn't meet the reserve. I can get them for $1260 shipped. Brand new, 8" front, 9" rear which suits my plans. The seller said they are made by Enkei, and the same looking wheel by Enkei is listed about $550. However, I think they may be heavy - over 30 lb. I searched the web and found a dealer called The Tint Shop, I think it was, but they didn't respond to my email. Any knowledge?

sounds like ame is not made by enkei but rather a knockoff of an enkei wheel.

AME is a true JDM wheel company. It is not a knock off of any Enkei wheel nor are they related to Enkei in any way. I can attest to the quality of AME's since I had the AME mesh wheel a few years ago.
