what is a good brand to purchase?

there really isn't much difference... they all seem to be similar in performance, the biggest choice to make will be aluminum or composite (plastic)... aluminum may have better tolerances but is also susceptible to corrosion...

plastic ones may crack or melt to the hub of the car or the center bore of the wheel because of the heat. The aluminum rings would be the best choice to pick from.

What size are you looking for?

Not completely true - melting? I've been doing this a long time and to get one to melt would require something to be very very wrong with the car, usually a stuck brake or terribly adjusted or bad wheel bearing...

They aren't truly plastic, its a composite and they are much stronger than what we would imagine plastic to be...
