Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Position
Time to replace my tires on 2011 ISC 250. Are the Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Position a good tire?
I am looking between the Potenza S-04 Pole Position and the Potenza RE970AS Pole Position. I live in North Louisiana and it seldom snows; This Car will never be driven intentionally in Ice or snow.
I also looked at the Yokohama AVID ENVigor tire but it does not get really good ratings.
Any thoughts appreciated. If I can get 30k out of a set of tires on this ISC 250, I will be happy.

Two different animals... S-04's are a dry/wet tire and RE970's are an all season tire designed to give some winter performance as well... That being said, RE970's will probably outhandle most summer performance tires on the market and last a little while too... S-04's are awesome and depending on driving habits, should get 20-35k... On the shorter life of things, if you want absolute maximum performance, the RE-11 and new RE-11A that gets released next month are amazing (expect 10-25k, depending on driving habits)
Of course, Michelin has the Pilot Super Sport, Pilot Sport A/S Plus, Pilot Sport 3 and Pilot Sport PS2...
I have no doubt you would be unhappy with any of those tires, but I've driven them all but the Pilot Sport 3, and Bridgestone seems to have the edge and the cheaper price as well...

First you need to determine if you want all-season or summer tires. You've chosen some of the very best tires offered but it's very seldom both of these tires would be considered at the same time. In car terms that’s like saying "I'm going to buy the IS-F or RX350, which is better"? Typically you would not be considering both of those cars at the same time. If you can say the car will never see snow or ice and be driving above freezing I would choose the S-04 all the way. If she may see snow/ice even if it is rare or will be driving below freezing I would do the RE970AS

I like buying my tires locally because I live in a rural area and getting someone to mount tires from tire rack becomes costly and I have to drive 30 miles to find a vendor who will even do this.
My local Bridgestone dealer cannot get a full set of the 970's for some crazy reason; She can get the S004 and the RE760. The S004 ARE $1082.75 and the RE760 is $857.90; both prices turn key installation, tax's etc.
She can also get the the Yokohama AVID ENVigor tire line includes W-speed rated Ultra High Performance All-Season radials and they are $912 total price but these tires are not rated very good on tire rack.

Want thw chepaer price below
There are several Bridgestone dealers in the Monroe/Ruston area but I have never had any of these dealers under quote the dealer I deal with on a Bridgestone or Firestone tire but I want to be proven wrong and would appreciate the help in finding these prices you quoted above.
Thanks for the help.
I just checked Tire racks pricing on the S-04 and the price is $981.63 shipped to my door using the cheapest shipping method; The RE-970 is $957.69
The cost to install these 4 tires is $100.44.
The total price then would be$1082 for the S-04 and RE-970 would be $1058 using tire rack.
I have the 18" wheels 225/40R18 and the 255/40R18
