Default IS300 Tire Size Q's

I've been having a hard time deciding on what tires sizes i should get. I recently purchase the XXR 521 wheels. They're 18x8.5 and 18x10 +25 offset. I'm currently looking to get some HANKOOK Ventus V12 from tirerack.com and they're about $600 shipped. I've done my research and been asking question to the people who has the XXR 521's and alot of the owners run 215/40 fronts and 225/40 rears. Some may even 225/35 rears. I'm not looking for a extreme stretch since i live in the midwest and the roads here are **** so i've have my mind set on 215/40 in the fronts but i'm not to sure about the rears? 235/40 are a little stretch and also has some good thread as well. I guess i'm worried because i'm on springs and not coilovers so i can't really adjust my height and i dont want to purchase coilovers if its not necessary but since i'm very picking about how my car looks and if its not right, i might just have too.

soo my question is, are the 215/40 for the fronts and 235/40 be legit??
eventually i will get coilovers so what would be a reasonable setup so i wont have to buy another set of tires.

Here are pics of my car with 17x8 and 17x9
im running 215/45 in the fronts and 245/40 in the rears

I like how my oldset up was so ya...
