HEEHEEHEEHEEHEE!!!!! Major can of worms, but, IMHO, chrome has been out since the mid-90's........sorry chrome lovers.....
***I must add.... I dont determine whats in or out based on the "masses".****** So, if everyone running chrome makes it "in", than I guess its in.......

Chrome is timeless on a black car just like Blacked out windows. I prefer silver w/ polished lip myself chrome does look good but definitely for show and not go.

Talking chrome

it depends on style of car, and what kind of chrome wheel it is. Junkie wheels on a nice car is retarded.Color is very crucial as well. don't smoke chrome, ride on it lol

SoCalSC4,
Maybe we just have more Ballers and Hustlers out here runnin the East Coast my man!!

Chromes not for all cars, but for dark colored or white luxery cars and SUV's, it looks damn good. I dont think the chrome on either on of these style rides will be an issue, when most of them that are hooked up have about 200 lbs of audio equipment in the trunk.

Manaray, come on now Bro, whens the last time you seen a real Baller running on some cheap shoes? Im talking about the top $$ cream of the crop chromed out wheels. Real Baller shoes, like some chromed out HRE 20's, OH DAMN, thats what I got!!

By the way, what happened, Neons out now?

My Work Eurolines have pretty unique chrome pattern...absolutely in love with them. I don't like fully chromed wheels though.

See how the chrome has texture on the side and mirror-like finish up front?

Well that's one thing, but MOST wannabe ballers roll on some sort of chrome wannabes...that is the majority of the "ballers" I see...no matter what, I still think chrome is old/ghetto/played...everything comes in chrome now...and most of the new chrome wheels are the cheap crap...it's not that chrome itself was always ghetto, but it's the fact that every ghetto wanna-be-baller/pimp/player has them...they played it out (just like the LD-1 and it's 10,000 knock-offs...)...everyday I see some beat up pile of crap with chrome wheels or chrome hubcaps...

Kinda like what all the ricers did to the Honda market. Now, even if you have "well done" Honda (say all JDM Spoon), it's still considered ricer...(what's sad is that now all the ricer companies and knock-off companies are making "JDM" looking stuff like flat black [Spoon style] wheels and stuff...so you can have a "wannabe JDM look"...someone should ship everyone at APC and their kind to Mars...or the Sun...

Getting back to chrome, some wheels, do look good in chrome and certain chromes look kinda cool (like the chrome on Retro's LS) I don't necessarily hate chrome, I just think it's played out, that's all....

Chrome is Great! Nice and shiny from mild to wild. But the downsides are heavy a$$ rim. Brushed and polished is also a Great choice. And can be aquired in tasteful designs and are light weight. Depends on what your trying to accomplish. If you want a performance rim with the glamorous look of chrome. Then 3-piece's are the way to go!
