TT - Hahaha...like I was saying...

BabyLex, you're wheels are heavy because their design and because they are cast...of course, the chrome doesn't help either...but weight is the least of your worries...

Speaking of wheels, here's a new one that I find rather nice...clean and simple...wish they didn't add the bolts on the edge (since it doesn't need them) but at least it doesn't look like a 3-piece wheel with the bolts going all they way around the edge...

Rays/Sebring Spider Design

(I know I haven't been doing these "new stuff" posts like I used to but honestly, I got sick of the idiots who complained that I watermarked them...I do all the purchasing of magazines, scanning, cleaning up, sizing, paying for online storage, and then posting up the linked images...and they can only sit back and complain....not suprisingly, they haven't brought anything to the table...typical... )

Here's a polished HRE 845R... has a more "liquid" look than chrome in person. I'm doing these in 20x9 and 20x10 for my SC400.

I can't believe until just recently someone started mentioning the weight factor. based upon the op's question:

Chrome wheels are still a popular choice for many people, but there some out there that feel chrome wheels are on the way out and other styles like polish and 'black' wheels are in.
black wheels are usually the lightest rims and are geared more towards the racing circle. it also tends to match the carbon fiber hood. Chrome is the naughtiest word in a die hard racers vocabulary. spend 200 more bucks in carbon fiber just to offset the weight of the damn chrome window trim For the average joe going for a clean ride, the debate between chrome and polished will only go as far as one's personal taste. When getting in to lightweight black racing rims, that's an entirely different function for an entirely different debate.

I don't race, i like my chrome.

Question

Why is going with a staggered setup.. ie 19's front 20's rear bad ? And does this only apply to cars with Navigation? Also if 19F/20R is bad wouldn't 20 x 8.5/F 20 x 10/R be just as bad if not why?

What is the average difference in weight between a say 20' chrome wheel compared to a 20' polished/brushed/diamond cut.

I love chrome... but like Brushed with Polished Lip on mainly silver cars and some black. But i feel chrome is maintenance free. After having aluminum wheels before, i think too much time is spent in polishing them. and to me regardless of the polish you use it never looks as good as when new, unlike chrome.

Mike, the only reason I even come to this forum is to see the new stuff that you used to post. I don't even come here any more since it got boring. I say screw the whiners and start posting those new toys again. Besides after enginyr the queer has started stealing people's work, I watermark my stuff allover the place too.

" say screw the whiners and start posting those new toys again"

No joke man. I hit the Wheels Forum, the GS Forum and the Lobby. In that order most of the time. Who doesn't like looking at wheels? Or any new products for that matter. Post it up. I grabbed pics here and there sometimes, but it's nothing people cannot see for themselves. I don't get any kind of JDM mags so the scannings are always cool to see.

Yep, I have checked in on this thread many times, too. Did vote for diamond cut/polished a long time ago. Just wish I could find 17" in a diamond cut/polished finish, it seems like most of them are only available in 18" and up.
