Can someone recommend tires for 2010 IS 250?

 

I have Hankooks on my 2010 IS250.

I just got a set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus tires. They are very quiet and more comfortable than the OEM Dunlop tires that came with the vehicle. Even though they are high performance all season tires I think they handle just as well or even better. They are pricey, but I think they are worth it.

+1 on the Michelin Pilot Sport. My favorite tires by far. I currently have BFGoodrich g-Force Sport Comp-2 and these tires are really loud in-cabin.

 

I have the new Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3s. I don't really know much about tires, but I love them. A bit of the expensive side though.

 

Most cost effective are hankook v12 & falken 453. Hankooks seems to wear out pretty fast due to soft compound. Falken 453 ride just as nice as v12's but cant tell you how well it wears from experience. Its suppose to last longer then Hankooks.

 

A lot of people will recommend Hankook Ventus V12's and Michelin Pilot Super Sports.

I personally have the V12's and love them!

 

I loved these tires until they wore early at 27,000 miles. Michelin / Costco prorated the replacement cost, but I replaced them with Michelin Primacy MXM4 because Costco didn't keep the Pilot Sports in stock, and I couldn't wait for the special order.

Do a search on CL--there are a ton of tire recommendation threads. Continental DWS get pretty good reviews.

How about Goodyear GT's? Current potential IS350 I am looking at has them and in need of rears. Dump and get a whole new set? The fronts are still good. Or Bridgestone?

 

I had a pretty good experience with the Dunlop SP Sportmaxx tires that came on my car when I got it, but replaced them with Falken Azenis PT722 (All seasons). I thought the Falken's were excellent after they broke in a little (At first I thought they were a little rough). Tire wear was great, not much at all after about 10k miles so i'd definitely buy them again.

 

Exactly what driving style do you drive your 250? Slow, DD, aggressive, etc etc? Each will demand a certain type of tire in order for you to be happy.
