8.5" rims on SC400?
Would an 8.5" rim in the rear be able to provide enough tire to the ground for good traction? I know it relies mainly on the tires but supposing I got some good tires would that be enough width? I do plan on doing some aftermarket upgrades like exhaust and intake. Nothing major. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

without being the most knowledgeable one here, i'll chime in due to lack of response:
you don't have a lot of go-fast mods yet, so an 8.5" rim/tire will do you fine for most things. if you plan on going all out with major components or even hobby track racing, you could bump it up to a 9.5" for just a little more money. the SC does 10" with the proper fitment specs as well

The SCs will take up to an 11" wide rear wheel (with the correct offset) without much problem. For general cruising and stock power levels, an 8.5" wide wheel is more than adequate- the tires have more effect on traction than the wheels!
