My uncle had a 97 540 and resides in CT. He was driving in NY and also cracked his rim a while back. He called a tow truck and since he had evidence other that his word of mouth for the broken wheel they refunded everything even the tow truck pick up charge. If you would like I will give him a call and see what you may need to at least get the money back that you spent!
