I have a 1993 LS400 black on top and Dark grey on the bottom. I originally had 16" arelli vettas but sold them to my mom
Any opinions on Alba Rims in general or experiences with the Edge model. They are coming with 235/45 r17 Kumho 711 tires. Any opinions on those? Just checking with you guys before I buy. Thanks

Alba? Are you serious? Ghetto fabulous at best...just like most Arelli's...
I would save up and buy some good wheels...iForged, HRE, Work, RAYS, Weds, etc., etc...

I dont really like the look of any of those kinds of rims. Some look good on other peoples cars, but most of them look out-dated to me. They dont really flow very nicely. I guess the smooth shiny chrome that is easy to polish and clean-up is my style. Thanks for the input though. I suspected that someone would mention going to better quality rims. Thanks again

without sarcasm or rudeness, you won't get a lot of positive comments about those here. some do like them of course, its just that CL is like the borg...we all end up loving three-piece quality stuff over time
it really is incredible to see how many people switch to better rims once they're settled-in members

Yeah, the way I see, it's a learning process for most people. I mean how many people who have bought wheels really know anything about wheels? Most people see something on Cribs or some MTV Video and that's what they want...little do they know that even though those guys that have a ton of money don't necessarily buy good quality stuff because they just don't know (and don't even get me started on the watches they buy....makes any real watch enthusiast CRINGE....)
For example, Mike Tyson's former SC430 is on sale at Keyes Lexus...now this guy obviously has a *little* money to throw around...what kind of wheels did he have on his SC430? Some cheap *** KNOCK-OFF's of the Lowenhard LD1. It wasn't even a good knock-off!...and he probably paid a GRIP of cash for it...he simple doesn't know any better ...but don't tell him I said that....he'd try to bite my ear off and then I'd have to cap him with 24 rounds a .40 Cal Corbon [ mag reload...2 x 12 rounds from my G23...just in case...he is "Iron Mike" afterall! ] and then people would hate me cuz I killed Mike Tyson...what were we talking about again?
Oh yeah...hehehehe...anyways, it's like any hobby...when you first start, you make mistakes just because you don't know...but once you get "into" it, you learn and refine your taste...I remember back when I started collecting guns (way back when!), I used to want a MAC M10 SO BAD (maybe cuz all the drug lords in my area used to have 'em...dunno???) and I did end up getting a semi-auto (i.e. castrated) MAC M11 (a .380 caliber version of the MAC-10...much smaller too and the "real" MAC-11, the full auto, open bolt ones shoot like 1600 rounds per minute!!!) but now I just laugh at that gun...what a piece...it wouldn't bother me to give that one up....everyone goes through a learning process....
