Going for a meatier tire to replace stock.....
I'm gonna keep my stock rims for now on my '99 ES300 but need new tires, researched & I've decided to go with a 225/60/15 vs. stock 205/65/15. Anyone done this setup on their ES? Pros/cons? Like it or not? I'm figuring it will fill the fender and corner better.

Well I'm gonna have my Cordovan Aqual Flows mounted on Monday. It was between those & Continental Touring Contacts. The Cordovans have an aqua-tred like pattern which hopefully resists hydroplaning as much as Good Year claims.

Well, I got my new tires mounted Monday. No custom wheel setup but I like them(Cordovan Aqua Flows) a lot better than what was on the car before(Michelin Energy MXV4s). They corner a lot better with the wider footprint & slightly lower profile. I haven't ran them in the rain yet- but I'm looking forward to it. If anyone is considering not upgrading in wheel size on a '99 ES, I recommend going with 225/60/15's vs. 205/65/15's if you want better handling. The ride is just slightly more firm but barely noticeable.
