I loved Tire Rack when i used to have shop...great guys to talk to and products shipped in next day. However, as a consumer, I think Discount Tire has gotten me better deals...maybe the sales force was hungrier? I don't know. But I had gotten a set of 245/35/19 + 275/30/19 Falken ST115's for $650 shipped + road hazard, which is a great deal IMO.

Default Tire Rack

I've purchased 3 sets of tires from Tire Rack over the years. The website is easy to use and has great prices. I've never talked to an actual person at Tire Rack till this last week.
The first guy I talked to was rude and condescending. I was like ok he's having a bad day so whatever. Then I phoned again and talked to a different guy and to be nice lets just say he didn't have people skills and he didn't give me any advice. I'm totally turned off what happened to customer service? Tire Rack has great prices but based on principle I don't think I would buy from them again. Am I the only one that's had a bad experience?

I have nothing praise from all the service techs I have spoken with especially Brandon and Cy. You can ask for them by name. They are usually busy but will call you back when they are free. Sorry that you had bad experience with them.

TIRERACK ROCKS. bought 18 tires in the last 4 year for 3 vehicles we have. 14 of them are from tire rack. very happy with the service, price and delivery time. You might ask, where are the other 4 tires from. They are from a local NTB. I got them there because Michelin tires priced on Tirerack are very close to local shop. And there were Michelin tire promotion at local NTB that made them a little less than Tirerack's price and they had them instock.

kinda depends on your salesperson at DT... I used to work there and would make deals that wouldn't make us hardly any money (sometimes as little as $10 on the tires), just anything to get the deal... but yah, they are driven by unit sales, not overall profits...

I had ordered tires through Tire Rack since 93, I was racing PCA and SCCA at the time, over the years I problably ordered more than 40 sets. Recently and since I was FORCED to give up racing(wife, kids) I, for the first time bought tires from Discount Tire and was very happy with their service and work. I have friends ONLY go to Firestone and NTB for tires.
The only reason for Discount Tires is that THEY CAN DO EXCHANGE if not satisfied.

I generally go to a local shop but found it hard getting Blizzak snow tires from any of them. I went thru TireRack this time and it was a pleasure.

I've purchased 2 sets of tires from Brandon since June and was happy both times with price and service. Had a problem with one tire and it was exchanged with no problem within 2 days.

I ordered my lowering springs for my old grand am gt and they come next day from their warehouse in Indiana. Then I just ordered some Avon Tech M500 225/40/18 and 255/40/18. I was looking to get the Conti Extreme but everywhere I looked they were on backorder and I didn't want to get caught by some unexpected snow like I did on the day before Thanksgiving. Got them for 556 shipped straight to the installer and they came in today. They shipped out yesterday from Indiana and Ill definitely buy from them again. Hopefully I can get them installed tomorrow so I can make a comparison to the stockers.
