Default What do you guys think of the axis supermesh?

I'm planning on getting these rims in a 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 set-up some time soon. They look like the HRE 540R. Right now i can't afford the HREs so i'll go with these in the meantime. Plz give me some feedback. thanks

Default It's not a bad lookin' wheel..

Quite nice if you ask me. I think it looks more like a Work Rezax or BBS LM. I know all type of mesh wheels look similar but there are a few subtleties that differentiate them from each other. The HRE 540R on the other hand (a beautiful wheel in it's own right...I should know, my friend has a set on his 5 Series) has more of a bowed profile to it's spokes. In contrast the spokes on the Work and BBS have much more of striaght profile to them. It all comes down to preference!! =)

Here are a few pics..so you can compare for yourself...

BBS LM

Work Rezax

HRE 540R

Axis Supermesh

It would look better if the lip had a polished finish to it. It looks too "dull".

Seize:

That's not a Work Rezax, it's a VS-XX. Subtle differences.

I think the Supermesh looks decent. I'm sure it's a one piece rim with fake bolts though. Probably not fair to compare it to high end rims like the LM, 540, or Rezax (or even the VS-XX).

One problem: it looks like Axis offers only 2 offsets, +35 and +45. These are not ideal. Hence, the rims will probably not sit flush or near flush with the car. I think the front would sit too far out and the rear would sit too far in -- make sure you know what it will look like before you purchase.

It would look better if it didn't say AXIS on the lip

Hehehehe...Axis...personally, I wouldn't buy their wheels...

There are other mesh wheels out there you can buy that aren't expensive. Check out the Weds Novaris M-Style for example...hit up GS4Will for a price shipped from Japan...they come in 19" and 18"...

No fake 3-piece look either...

i do not know how reputable wheelmax.com is,but, i was interested in that wheel also. they stated that they had stopped selling axis wheels due to quite a few coming back to them due to being to soft, gettting bent. maybe this will be the nail in the coffin on this issue for you. they had all of their axis wheels on special 2 weeeks ago due to this.
