mathematically(is there such a word?) speaking, if the tire with 220 tw give you say, 22k miles, then the 300tw one would give you 30k miles projection. but such comparo is only valid for tyres within the same brand. as each co. hasilghtly dif scale, sometimes it is hard to justify among differnet brands.

i.e. a certain tire with 280 tw might actually last longer than its competitior with 330 tw due to the materials used and construction.
