Default time for new tires, need help!

hey guys, i have 23,000 miles and the tires looks like they have a few thousand more miles in them but i'm ready to change. I know the runflat vs. normal tire topic has been beaten to death. i'm still hesitant tho, because i feel like i'm going to get a flat the first day i put on normal tires. out of the runflats, are the bridgestones or dunlops better? if i do get normal tires, any recommendations in particular? i read a few of you put on Michelin Pilots and were happy. the tire rack shows a lot of options, so i'm a bit confused. the yokohomo AVS dbs s2 looks decent, since it was designed to be a quieter high performance tire, altho i'm sure it will get noisier as time goes on. anyways, if you guys have any advice, steer me in the right direction!! thanks.

dunlops and bridgestone's are very soft and wear quicker than anything else we see at the dealer as far as runflats are concerned...

Default new tires

Just replaced some BS S0-3 Pole Position 245/40-18 on my LS400 with some Continental ContiExtremeContact 245/40-18, the Bridgestone are alittle more high preformance tire but they get very LOUD as the wear out.The ContiExtremeContact are very very quite and smooth and would be a perfect match for your car.I did a lot of research and the bottom line is that the cost me $144 per tire! Look at them up on the Tire Rack.........ContiExtremeContact ONLY ............not the other Continental tires. Believe me When I say that these tires are GREAT!!! Because I am one Very Fussy Guy (ask my wife)
