TPMS Low Pressure after Correcting Pressure Deficit
Never had TPMS come on, didn't even know about it until checked pressure and was 23psi in one tire so i added a few p's to bring it up to 30 and then for the first time the darn (!) Low Tire warning came on and nothing i try makes it go away.
Clueless as to why it never noticed a drop to 23 but instead notice a correction to 30psi (the recommended cold p on door placard). Tried reset/initial with the button below steering wheel area and it just says initial then goes back to low pressure.
Notice there is a similiar botton under glove comp area and tried it but it doesnt seem to do anything holding it down after turning key to on.
It's out of warranty and my smog sticker expires so i wanna get rid of the darn erroneous low pressure warning, any clues?
Worst case scenario guess i'd take it into a a chain mechanic (Autozone?) and have them rotate and reset the tire/pressure. hopefully its not the sensor battery dead or defective as it only warned after bringing up to the correct pressure and from what i'm reading elsewhere, most everyone has the same problem of the TPS only warning AFTER they correct a pressure issue it never noticed.
