wheel finish
The finish on my stock 1994 SC spoke wheels is starting to bubble and peel. Underneath it looks as if it might be some type of stainless steel or chrome. Is there an easy way to take the original finish off to expose the underneath finish.

use a very fine grit sand paper if you want to try it, and go from about an 80 all the way to about a 1400 until they look smooth without any imperfections. Me personally, I would not touch them. If you do it to one, you will have to do it to all them to get the same look. Your best bet would be to purchase new stock wheels to get the look you need on a lexus, or go to an aftermarket wheel. Good luck.

try to see if they can be sand blasted. I'm not sure if it will work without seeing it, but i've seen it done to gold painted wheels.
Remember straight metel holds dirt and they will be hard to clean. You should considered reclear coating them.
Let me know how it works out.
