Default JDM 3-piece wheels

I used to run JDM Racing Hart 3 piece wheels on my GS. Now I switched to single piece cast wheels and felt it's a lot easier to deal with. Here are what I found out.

All 3 piece wheels use special valve stems, so when you get new tires @ Discount or NTB, they can not replace valve stems for you since they do not carry those type of valve stems

All JDM rims have the stealth valve design which means the valve is almost flush with the center piece. Every time I put air to my tire, I need to use a valve extension to avoid scratches to my polished outer rims. So a 5 minutes inflation job usually takes more than 10 minutes.

The RH C5 I used to run have a very unique design center cover. It requires a special tools to remove the center big screw then you need to unbolt the two little screws to remove the center cover. Onec the cover was removed, you'll need a special thin wall socket to remove the lug nuts due to the unique design. I checked my tire pressure and torque my lug nuts every week. This became a very tedious job.

All 3 piece rims have tons of fasteners around the center piece. Cleaning around each fastener is pain in the a**. I usually needed to use tooth brush to clean up the brake dust for around 30 bolts, talking about detailing

Now I'm happy with my single piece cast wheel. I check my tire pressure and torque my lug nuts every week. The cleaning is just soap up and rinse down. Even though they are a little heavier and they do not have exact the offset I'm looking for but they do make my life a lot easier
