Default volk wheel restoration

picked up a set of old school gtc volks that were pretty beat up. I got them for a great price. im polishing the lips my self and having the centers powder coated. here is my progress so far lmk what you guys think, I also purchased the OEM lugs that are required for these wheels and tpms adapters to retain function. they are going on a USB RC350

Looking good! What steps did you go through to get them cleaned up and polished?

Started low on sand paper and worked my way up. The wheels with really bad curb rash I used a dremel to clean it up.

so
80,120.220.320,400,600,800,1000,2000

finished it with mother’s and buffing wheel on a ryobi drill

2 done

Decided to soak the black chrome bolts that hold the face to the barrel and get the coating off. I decided on a grey gunmetal color for the face and think the polished bolts will pop a little more. Here’s one after a quick polish.

also my rays lugs came in. Found out the hard way this wheel uses a specific lug to work so 136 dollars later here I am lol

Was able to pick up some 10.5 with 4.25 inch lip and 9.5 with 3 inch lip barrels. Spent the week restoring them. It’s a job to restore these classic wheels but it’s worth the reward in the end

here’s a vid to show how I received them
