Default rota battles?

i'm FINALLY starting to look to getting some new shoes for the lex. a much needed upgrade. i found these rota battle's in my search and wanted to see what you guys had to say. they're 18 x 7.5, somewhere around 20-22 pounds each, 45+ offset for 114.3 x 5....yay or nay?

what is the width?

they are ok, but not exactly my style.

However, a pretty much basic design, can't really go wrong I guess - other than you will probably outgrow them

my mistake....i never noticed i only had .5 on for a width. they are 7.5'' wide.

as far as the style, i was looking at that style or a five spoke style... i'm certainly not set on anything, however i am trying to find 18 inch rims which do not weigh much.

in the future though, if i do get tired of them...no reason i can't sell and get a new set.

If you are considering that wheel I would go with the AVS Model 5

any idea on price and weight? i know its gonna be tough to find rims that aren't too expensive and don't weigh a lot, but its my primary goal. i'll keep searching until i do.

Don't waste your time with those...no really....

Not too expensive and don't weight too much? Come on. I want a LS430 with 750HP that only costs $5,000 new. Be realistic .

While I personally wouldn't buy this brand of wheel myself, they do make some ok wheels...go to TireRack and look at the AT Italia line of wheels. They have 18x8's as cheap as $199 each. If you're expecting something "light" in that price range (new), you're not being realistic.

Another brand you can look at is Mille Miglia...they have a few wheels in the $225~$239. I would not go smaller than a 8" wide wheel. Otherwise, really, why bother? MM makes a few wheels you might like...the Action, EV-R, EV-S, Evo, Impera, HT3, MM11-3...you might even like the MM-S (not a bad looking wheel IMO...too bad there is no lip but at $249, you can't be picky)

You could also go with the Moda R6's or R8's...they're also cheap at $229~$289 each.

Now you can go for the OZ Supperleggra's at $350/each (still cheap as hell) and they're relatively light. This would be my pick if I only had a budget of $1400 or so....

But consider this...for around $1800~$2000, you could get some RAYS wheels and maybe some Work wheels...

but i am being realistic...you can get four rota battle's in 18 x 7.5 weighing about 19 or 20 pounds each for about $630 shipped. brand new. thats the reason i was considering these...i was told they were a decent brand and don't weigh a lot at all...

i have looked at the mille miglia before...but then when i look at how much each of those wheels weigh it sort of defeats the purpose of trying to get lighter weight wheels.

the supperleggeras look pretty decent and from what i read don't weigh a whole lot, however that 1400 doesn't include the price of tires, which can put it up towards 1900-2000. i can't spend that much at the moment. college is taking too much of my budget to do that.

i suppose if nothing new is going to meet my needs, i could always look at a pair of used rims/wheels someone has selling. i've been keeping my eyes out. like i mentioned before, i would definitely love a five spoke design. the racing hart m5 style comes to mind....

I suggest you wait a little bit, when you save up enough $$ then choose the right wheel. Don't get regreted later. BTW.........7.5 in width is too narrow. 7.5 is for Camrys, Accords and Civics
