Wheels, Tires & Brakes Forum Where else do you go for wheel, tire and brake information?

I had no idea these were all the same company (Lowenhart, Racinghart, Sprinthart)....

Default I had no idea these were all the same company....

Kind of like how Del Monte Foods makes the Albertsdons brand....

Lowenhart, Racinghart, Sprinthart - all the same.

http://www.hartwheels.co.jp/cat_all/catalog.htm

Lowenhart BR5's are Bersaglios Spoke 2's.....

Also...Can ANYONE tell the difference between these 2 wheels besides the $2,000 price difference (and the poor quality of the second photo)?:

Lowenhart LD5's ($4,000.00)

and Diablo Lionhart's ($2,500.00)

Darius, the biggest diff between the two is the fact that the LD-5 is 3pc whereas the Lionhart is a single pc wheel with glued on bolts. Also the Lionhart is only avail in one width 8.5, which means you could not run them staggered (wider out back).

The hard thing to see in pics is the minor details and craftsmanship like the depth of the chrome, the way spokes meet the rim, the overall fluidness of the design (you know the stuff that only losers like me notice )

Its all up to you bud, if you get the Diablos, they will be knockoffs, but at least they are a nice, plain 5spoke design, (not likeTezzen and all that crap)!

Darius,

We have a specific forum on ClubLexus called "The Tire Rack's Tires, Wheels & Brakes Forum" and it's where all posts about wheels like this one should go.

I'm moving your post there; can you please help me and the other moderators out by tring to put posts in the right forum when you make them?

Thanks
D

Thanks Dave, now I know

D - I am so glad you pointed these bullets out before I made the purchase! I would be so mad!! I can spot fake LD1's from a block away so I don't know why I thought these would be any different. Plus, if I'm going with 245/35/19's I'll surely bend a 1 piece rim on these Bay Area pot holes.

"The hard thing to see in pics is the minor details and craftsmanship like the depth of the chrome, the way spokes meet the rim, the overall fluidness of the design (you know the stuff that only losers like me notice )"

Then we're losers together. Thanks for saving me $$$$ and frustration. I'll just have to wait a little longer and get the ones I want. Two bad someone @ CL wasn't there for you like you are for me when you bought your first rims huh.

Thanks again D.

CL, I just went into a "Discount Wheel Shop" that sells off-brand replicas and believe me THERE IS NO COMPARISON. Thank you guys for holding me back from making a purchase before seeing the product. What was I thinking? OhNo's instead of Momo's Lionhart's instead of Lowenhart.

Thanks again CL. So if anyone knows where I can buy Lowenhart LD5's for less than $4,000.00 (package price) please post or send me a PM. I am willing to spend $100.00 on shipping if the price is right. The way things are looking, I won't be buying rims until next summer

There are very obvious differences in qualities and finishes.
