Default Run flats gone, but now "flat spotting"?

Replaced the standard RF with Conti ExtremeContacts. Love the quiet "smooth" ride, handling is acceptable. After they were mounted by the dealer, had SEVERE vibration at all speeds, though mostly around 50-55 mph. Drove them for about 500 miles, hoping they would "wear in". They didn't. Went back to the dealer, all re-balanced, problem solved - EXCEPT for the 50-55 mph shimmy. Seems to be happening after the car sits overnight and nearly resolves after driving for 15-20 mins.

Flat spotting? Poor balance? Something inherently wrong with the tires?

I never thought I'd been thinking this, but I'm beginning to miss the RF.....

I got the same tires and the place I bought the from balanced them twice and I had the same problem as you. I took them to another place and they rebalanced them and I have no problems now.( they said that who ever did it the other times didn't know what they were doing because they were way off)
