Default Need advice on new tires for 19" wheels

Hello all,

I just got these Blitz wheels for my mom's LS430 with Adaptive Variable Air Suspension. My mom doesn't like the way the Toyo's ride, it's too stiff and too loud, I'm looking for options. I'm hoping a taller tire will help and would like to know what's the tallest I could fit in there. Mind you, the car is pretty high and can't go lower because of the air suspension.

TIA, any help in the matter would be appreciated.

get 245/40/19 and 285/35/19, they are a bit taller and so better ride

if you want softer tires, the so3 is good, and i heard that the continental and also michellin are soft. perelli and yoko they are on the stiff side

i hear a lot of people complaining that their tires are loud... i've never noticed a tire being loud enough to bother me. i've been through a bunch of tires and i never noticed the noise to be even a bit bothersome. you guys don't like listening to the radio?

Thanks for the advice guys! It really comes down to finding something she likes or the wheels go.

mrshabo,

Remember this is for my mom, not my dad or I. When I drove the car back from Chicago I loved how sporty the LS felt. But this isn't my car and I really love the wheels. I don't want to see them go.

Default Tires

Go with the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 tires!!! They beat out the Michellin P/S and are less $$$$.

Great wet tire as well!

agreed , the goodyears are unbelieveable.. i have them now for about 2wks or so , and i swear the ride is so smooth and quiet i forget i am riding on 19in . they actually feel better then my 18in pole postions i had before but yet the tires are very responsive with no tramlining

so far best tire i have ever had and almost 300 for a z rated tire for treadwear

I use Dunlop SP9000 (245/35/19 and 275/30/19) for my gs and it is lowered.. VERY comfortable, a lil bit noisy (but since your car is an LS, noise shouldn'y be an issue)..
However, my car has a little vibration during a hard rain.. I don't know if there is any possiblity it's caused by the dunlop tires?

So, you like the F1's? I've heard these are just one fantastic tire!

How come you went with 19" as opposed to stock 18"?

Have you driven an SC with the Michellin P/S? Did you notice a difference between the P/S and F1's?

So far, I've been looking into the F1's due to the reviews, cost and they do look nice! Also better for rain!

Let me know!

airtrackk, does your steering wheeling becomes more sensitive and the car vibrates during the hard rain using those sp9000???
