Now here is the interesting part, the 4.0s (and most VW engines really) do no have valve covers. The cover is also the cam cap and there is a mechanical cylinder management system. Said system works very well with near no issues but this system and the intake flaps are always on my mind since it's a point of failure that would require upper timing chain removal....
