Calling people from your Lexus IS with its built-in Bluetooth can be hit or miss at times. Sometimes the microphone volume is set too low and your voice will be hard to hear on the other end. While this isn't something you can change by the twist of a nob, you can change the microphone's sensitivity through your Lexus' secret menu. This simple, DIY task can be performed by a novice driver in a matter of minutes. If you simply don't have the time, you could also take your vehicle in to your local Lexus dealership and have the volume professionally adjusted. Here's a brief overview of what to expect if you take on this minor repair yourself.
Tools Needed
None, but the owner's manual could prove helpful for any questions.
Step 1 - Turn the car on
With your foot off the brake pedal, press the power button once to enter accessory mode. Your car won't be running, but the power will be on. You'll know that you're in this mode when your power button is glowing amber. You navigation system should also come on.
