Cabin air filters are an important addition to many modern vehicles, but like any filter they must be routinely replaced. Much like an engine air filter, cabin air filters do a great job of keeping dust and nasty allergens outside, but neglecting them will only diminish the air quality inside your car. Changing a cabin filter is a quick and easy job you can do in a matter of minutes, and replacement filters can be very inexpensive. Keep reading to see how it's done, and replace that nasty, old filter so you can breathe easier.

There are several choices when it comes to replacement cabin air filters, and which one you ultimately go with is really a personal choice. If you just want a cheap replacement, there are many available on sites such as Amazon and eBay for around $7-$10 that will work just fine. Parts stores will charge a bit more, and if you go to the dealership, you may end up paying as much as $70 for one, plus a little extra for labor. Ultimately, replacing the cabin air filter is something that is so easy, there is no reason to pay a dealership to do it for you.
