Raging Train

Gridlife still attracts massive crowds and an almost cult-like following year after year. In fact, its organizers have been throwing these automotive-centered parties for a full decade now. And as we can see from the wildness that Super Street encountered down in Atlanta recently, the Gridlife train doesn't appear to be slowing down one bit.

Total Experience

This, despite the fact that a lot has changed over the last ten years. People tend to be very fickle, so it's obviously hard to stay relevant. These days, Gridlife isn't just about time attack, drifting, and general automotive shenanigans. It also involves various musical acts and one heck of a festival experience.

Leaps and Bounds

Gridlife's carnival of carnage just debuted at Road Atlanta a few years ago, but it's also become Super Street's favorite such event. And it's growing by leaps and bounds, beginning with a massive expansion of drift sessions this year that nearly doubled both in size and time.

Free For All

Much like every other Gridlife event, the drifting was essentially a free-for-all. Which, of course, makes it that much more exciting. Huge trains of smoking rides slid around corners mere feet from each other in one heck of a fine display.

Getting Serious

Things get a little more serious when the time attack cars hit the track, of course. But no one could touch one incredible ninth-gen Honda Civic coupe, which recorded a lap time of 1:19.962 to take the win in Unlimited-class competition, not to mention the fastest lap of the entire event.

Domestic Killers

Despite the presence of quite a few domestics and modern muscle cars, imports ruled the day in every single event. And honestly, there's nothing quite as satisfying as watching Honda Civics and S2000s bury Corvettes and Mustangs at the track.

Traditional Racing

For those who prefer a little more traditional racing action, the Gridlife Touring Cup (GLTC) certainly brought it. Requirements are fairly loose as well, as drivers must be at least Advanced-level HPDE trained and cars must meet typical safety requirements.

Impressive Display

As far as the corresponding car show goes, the Eibach Honda Meet was forced to back out after some unforeseen circumstances popped up. But Gridlife Atlanta still features a massive array of both Hondas and pretty much everything else you can think of.

Drake? DRRAAAAKKEEEE?????

The musical acts proved to be rather entertaining as well. Friday and Saturday night saw artists including Twista, Flosstradamus and Soulja Boy hit the main stage to get everyone appropriately riled up. And maybe even crank that Soulja Boy. And for the total Gridlife experience, plenty of people camped out with their buddies at the track.

Moving On

Despite all of this success, Super Street reports that there are rumors Gridlife will be exploring other venues for next year. Perhaps something on the West Coast or in the Northeast. Whether that's a good thing or a bad thing remains to be seen, but we're pretty sure that the good times will go on, regardless.
