Have Your Cake
Much has been written about Lexus' controversial touchpad interface. Some love it, some hate it. So for 2020, the RX comes with both a touchpad and a touchscreen to satisfy everyone. And that's just the tip of the proverbial iceberg in terms of the many updates to the popular SUV.

Two Flavors
To bring back the touchscreen, Lexus had to redesign the entire top portion of the RX's dash so that people could, well, reach it. The all-new screen comes in an 8.0-inch size standard, while upmarket trim levels get a 12.3-inch screen.

Sharp and Manageable
Lexus also claims that its new screen sports sharp graphics, a quick response time, and a menu structure that's neat and orderly. No hunting and pecking through menus trying to figure out how to turn the temperature down.

Choices
The home menu icons consist of the stuff you use more often than not, like navigation, phone, climate controls, and settings. And perhaps best of all, the RX is also one of the first Lexus vehicles to support both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Alexa, Play My Music
In-car integrations also include voice-activated apps like Amazon Alexa. So you can access your preferred service and play music, check the news, control smart home devices, and more. Lexus has also added a designated space to store smartphones near the front of the center console.

Same, But Different
Mechanically speaking, both the 2019 and 2020 RX are identical. However, the front and rear fascias have been tweaked slightly, giving it a sleeker look that's more in line with the brand's current design language.

New Duds
Additionally, two new exterior colors are now available - Moonbeam Beige Metallic and Nori Green Pearl. 2020 models also feature a new 18-inch wheel design and 20-inch wheel design in the Luxury grade.

Improved Dynamics
Lexus made some tweaks to the RX's suspension as well in an effort to improve driving dynamics. This includes thicker yet hollow sway bars with reinforced bushings, re-tuned shocks, upgraded dampers, and overall stiffer suspension design.

Safety First
And of course, the new RX wouldn't be a Lexus without an emphasis on safety. The 2020 model comes with Lexus Safety System+ 2.0 as standard equipment, along with 3-years of Lexus Enform Safety Connect and 10-years of Enform Service Connect included with the vehicle.

Minor But Important
Overall, the 2020 RX comes with a few, minor changes. But for those who appreciate having the latest and greatest tech in their vehicles, the changes that Lexus has made should be welcomed with open arms.
