2023 Lexus LC Convertible: What's New and Notable?
The stylish drop-top is receiving a few minor changes for the new model year.
Few Changes
Unveiled at the L.A. Auto Show on November 20, 2019, the Lexus LC Convertible offers drop-top fans a suitable alternative to the stylish LC 500 coupe and has carved out a nice niche for itself in the automotive market since then. The 2023 LC Convertible carries on into the new model year largely unchanged, but some updates have taken place that are worth noting.

Signature Elements
For 2023, the LC 500 Convertible continues to embrace Lexus Driving Signature through enhancements to the vehicle's dynamic handling characteristics. Front and rear suspension settings have been optimized to enhance ground contact feel, linear steering response, and steering effectiveness in the high cornering G range. This suspension enhancement results in nimbler vehicle handling and a sharper connection between driver and vehicle.

Cool Features
Inside, the LC 500 Convertible remains unchanged, which means that it still features an HVAC system that adjusts the temperature whether the top is raised or lowered. The Lexus Climate Concierge with Upper Body Heating automatically manages the air conditioner, seat heaters, neck heaters, and steering-wheel heater to ensure the cabin is comfortable. The HVAC system is even optimized to send warm or cold air to the back of the driver’s hands when gripping the steering wheel.

Noise Control
Meanwhile, the cabin is designed to reduce wind noise thanks to the unique shape of the beltline and rear molding to help suppress wind from entering. A standard transparent polycarbonate wind deflector helps restrict unwanted air from entering the cabin during low-speed travel, such as driving in the city, while the standard windscreen provides improved cabin experience during high-speed travel, such as freeway driving, for comfortable conversing with the top down. Active Noise Control combines sound insulation and absorption techniques to help suppress unwanted harshness from entering the cabin.

Carryover V8
The LC Convertible continues to be powered by Lexus' naturally-aspirated 5.0-liter V8, which is rated to produce 471 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque. For the LC Convertible, the engine is paired with a Direct-Shift 10-speed automatic transmission. The Convertible posts an impressive 0-60 mph time of 4.6 seconds and its maximum track speed is electronically limited to 168 mph.

Safety Systems
The 2023 LC Convertible comes standard with Lexus Safety System+, which includes a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert with Lane Keep Assist, All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, and Intelligent High Beams. Also like the LC 500 coupe, Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert comes standard.

Pricing and Availability
The LC 500 Convertible top is offered in two colors - Black and Sand. The exterior color palette has been refined for 2023 and includes Ultra White, Atomic Silver, Cloudburst Gray, Caviar, Infrared, Flare Yellow, Nightfall Mica, Nori Green Pearl, and Cadmium Orange. Depending upon the exterior color chosen, three interior colors are available - Black, Circuit Red, and Toasted Caramel. The 2023 LC 500 Convertible features an MSRP of $101,500 sans a $1,150 delivery fee and is expected to arrive in dealerships in late 2022.
