Fine Gathering
Toyotafest is an institution in the world of car shows, an event put on by by the Toyota Owners and Restorers Club (T.O.R.C. ) that just celebrated its 27th year of hosting some of the most amazing Toyota and Lexus-branded vehicles on the planet in Southern California. This year's gathering just took place, and needless to say, it carried on that tradition by attracting some of the finest rides around, as MotorTrend discovered.

Heavy Dose of Classics
As has traditionally been the case, Toyotafest featured a little bit of something for everyone, as long as that something involves a vehicle manufactured by Toyota, of course. There was a heavy dose of vintage iron at this year's event, however, which isn't a huge surprise since TORC places an emphasis on keeping the classics alive.

Mild to Wild
Of course, this isn't some classic car meet - but rather, a celebration of one of the most popular automotive brands on earth, not to mention the enthusiasts that remain loyal to it. Thus, there were a ton of heavily-customized JDM rides in attendance as well, ranging from mild to wild.

VIP and Everything in Between
On the Lexus side of the coin, there was plenty of that to soak in, along with the always-popular VIP-styled builds, which obviously place all of the emphasis on style and comfort. Like vehicles were parked next to the same models, which made browsing the massive event a breeze.

More Utility
Then there were the old SUVs, which have exploded in popularity in recent years, and there were plenty of Land Cruisers and LXs to check out at the show as a result. As one might imagine, most of them have received some sort of overlanding upgrades, ranging from pop up tents to tools and cooking devices.

The Other Supra
That doesn't mean those who appreciate a good, luxurious coupe or sedan weren't able to scratch their proverbial itch either, because Toyotafest had row after row of fine Lexus passenger cars to scope out, too. We spied tons of early SC coupes, for example, which remain highly popular as a more affordable Supra alternative.

Enduring Legacy
These days, it isn't terribly common to find a car show that's not only been able to survive for more than a quarter century, but also thrive. However, the organizers behind Toyotafest have managed to accomplish that mission with flying colors, giving us something to look forward to year in and year out.
