Sipping Fuel

Excellent fuel economy and luxury vehicles aren't typically two things that go hand in hand, but there are certainly a few models out there that combine cushy rides and fine materials with thrifty fuel-sipping powertrains. Look no further than the 2025 Lexus ES300h, a vehicle that does both of those things rather well - in fact, according to data from fueleconomy.gov, it's easily one of the most fuel-efficient luxury sedans currently on sale.

Long Range

The ES300h is rated by the EPA to return 43 miles per gallon in the city, 44 on the highway, and 44 combined, which is actually the highest of any new luxury sedan on the market. This gives the hybrid model an impressive 581 miles of total range, to boot. It's powered by a 2.5-liter inline-four gas engine, mated to a hybrid system that generates a total of 215 horsepower.

Saving Money

This means that one can expect to spend around $1,200 on fuel annually, based on 15,000 miles with a 45 percent highway and 55 percent city driving mix and current fuel prices. Compared to the average new vehicle, that represents a five-year savings of $3,250 over five years as well.

Appealing Price Tag

With a starting MSRP of $44,590 including the $1,150 destination fee, this makes the 2025 Lexus ES300h a solid bargain in today's world, especially when we consider the fact that it's well-equipped with all of the typical comfort and luxury features we'd expect from a Lexus model.

Better Value?

In fact, as we previously reported, the 2025 Lexus ES300h is actually cheaper to lease than its corporate cousin, the redesigned Toyota Camry, which makes it even more appealing. It may not have all of the latest bells and whistles that the Camry does, but it is one heck of a good value - and a cheap car to drive - no matter how you slice it.
