1. Materials

You won't find any petroleum-derived materials in the Lexus Kinetic Seat. Instead, a spider silk material called QMONOSTM, manufactured by Spiber Inc., will outfit the seat. This synthetic material is primarily made up of protein that's spun to enhance and bring out characteristics like shock absorbency and resiliency.

2. Pattern

Going along with the synthetic spider silk material, the Kinetic Seat mimics a spiderweb pattern that makes it all the more comfortable for driver and passenger alike. Its composition and design is ideal for long-distance driving, with a net seat that expertly distributes body weight and adheres to one's torso shape. What's more, the pattern is so designed that the occupant's shoulders actually sit flush with the center of the 'web', which aids in support and stabilizes the head.

3. Movement

The Kinetic Seat was designed to respond to the natural movement and purpose of the spine, allowing stability of the head and movement of the middle and lower back. Apparently, the seat moves so kinetically that just sitting in it will keep the driver's field of vision steady and thus improve their driving.
