Value Proposition

For a few years, used vehicle prices were on a historic run, largely spurred by a severe lack of new vehicle inventory. With things back on track and inventory swelling, used vehicle prices have begun to cool, but that isn't the case with every model out there. In fact, these four used Lexus models aren't very good deals at the moment, based on a comparison between their average used price versus the average MSRP when they were sold new.

2024 Lexus RX 350h

First up, we have the 2024 Lexus RX 350h, which currently has an average used price of $61,433, according to data from Edmunds. The trouble is, that's considerably more than the crossover's MSRP of $51,800 - $9,633, in fact - making it a less attractive used vehicle target.

2024 Lexus NX 350h

As for the 2024 Lexus NX 350h, it's selling on the used vehicle market for $52,227 on average, compared to its $44,615 MSRP. That's a substantial difference of $7,612, signaling that those looking for one of these popular, fuel-sipping hybrids may want to consider buying new instead of used.

2024 Lexus UX 250h

The same is true of the smaller 2024 Lexus UX 250h, which has an average used selling price of $40,316, compared to an MSRP of $36,490 - a difference of $3,826. Given the small, luxurious crossover's enduring popularity, this doesn't come as a huge surprise.

2024 Lexus ES 300h

Finally, we have the 2024 Lexus ES 300h, which has an average used price of $48,745, which happens to be $5,305 more than its MSRP of $43,440. Given the fact that the ES just received some updates for the 2025 model year, it may be better to just go that route, given its MSRP of $44,590.
