All-Rounder

The Lexus UX has been around for a few years now, but has already established itself as a major player in the highly-competitive subcompact luxury crossover space. The UX has carried over mostly unchanged since its debut, but notably, Lexus did drop the non-hybrid UX200 models from the lineup in 2023, leaving the hybrid 250h as the sole powertrain option. For many, this arguably makes the UX even more attractive, but the crossover has many appealing features that make it a great all-rounder in today's world.

Affordable Pricing

In today's world, it's getting harder and harder to find anything that represents what one might call a "good value" in terms of new vehicles. In fact, there just aren't many models out there that cost less than $40k anymore, but the UX is one of them. With an MSRP of $36,690, the UX250h is arguably a fantastic bargain for a crossover of any kind, let alone a luxurious one that gets impressive fuel economy and is a reliable entity, to boot.

Luxury on a Budget

And that brings us to our next point - the UX offers up the same sort of luxury that one would expect from the brand, albeit at a far lower price than most similar models. That much is evident inside the cabin, where you'll find an attractive design coupled with amenities including a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless charging, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and even an optional head-up display.

Fuel Economy

Then there's the matter of efficiency, and the UX is impressive in that regard as well, thanks to its standard hybrid powertrain that combines a four-cylinder gas engine with an electric motor. EPA estimated ratings for the luxurious crossover come in at 43 mpg in the city and 41 on the highway for front-wheel drive models, and 41 mpg city and 38 mpg highway for all-wheel drive variants.

Safety Tech

For 2024, the UX250h comes standard with the brand's Lexus Safety System+ 2.5, which is chock full of welcome features that give owners a little extra peace of mind. That list includes Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert, Intelligent High Beams, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Road Sign Assist, and Lane Tracing Assist, to name just a few.

Something for Everyone

While the 2024 UX is only available with one powertrain, customers have plenty of choices when it comes to pretty much everything else. That includes not only front- and all-wheel drive configurations across the entire lineup, but also trim levels including the base model, Premium, F Sport Design, and F Sport Handling, enabling shoppers to go for something basic, sportier looking, or even a bit more sprightly in terms of performance, too.
