Least Recalled

Each year, hundreds - if not more - of automotive recalls are issued over everything from minor issues to major ones that could result in serious problems - or injuries. It's simply part of the process, of course, but recalls can be quite a hassle for owners, particularly if they wind up having to deal with a lot of them. Thus, iSeeCars recently analyzed data from the NHTSA for vehicles from the 2015-2024 model years to determine which vehicles are projected to have the least - and the most - recalls over an expected 30-year lifespan, and Lexus performed quite well in that regard.

Lexus ES 300h

First up, we have the Lexus ES 300h, which ranked second on this list with 0.3 expected recalls over the next 30 years. That's far lower than the industry average of 3.2, as well as the models projected to have the highest number of recalls over the years 30 years - that list ranges from 14.7 to 70.7 recalls, in fact.

Lexus RX 450h

The RX 450h also ties the ES with 0.3 projected recalls over the next 30 years, giving those that prefer or need a crossover the chance to get one that won't likely be impacted by these types of niggling issues, too. For those that like a bit more room, the elongated RX L also made the cut at 0.5 projected recalls.

Lexus NX 300h

The NX 300h is also projected to have a mere 0.3 recalls over the next 30 years, a tremendously low figure by any measure. “With Lexus and Mercedes-Benz occupying 15 of the top 25 slots it’s clear which two manufacturers do the best job of avoiding recalls,” said Karl Brauer, iSeeCars’ Executive Analyst. “Nearly every least recalled model comes from a premium brand, with Nissan’s 370Z the only mainstream vehicle to make the list.”

Lexus ES 250

The ES 250 rounds out our four-way tie at 0.3 projected recalls, rounding out an impressive performance by Lexus, as that luxury brand wound up having a grand total of seven models on this top 25 list - trailing only Mercedes-Benz, which had eight.

Lexus UX 250h

The UX 250h was among those to make the cut, which is great news given the fact that it's also the lowest-priced crossover Lexus currently offers in the U.S. It's projected to have just 0.5 recalls over its 30-year lifespan, in fact.

Finally, we have the RX 500h, which ranked 18th on this top 25 list with a projected 0.5 recalls over its own 30-year lifespan. This rounds out a very impressive performance for Lexus, even though it can oftentimes be difficult to predict just how many recalls - or anything, for that matter - a vehicle might face in the future.
