Aggressively Lowered SC 300s for a Tuesday

There is no denying it that some cars just look sexier with a nice drop. So in an effort to get the week rolling let's look at some SC coupes.

Lindy Melendez 1992 Lexus SC300

We’re all familiar with the concept “Built not Bought” and Lindy Melendez has provided us with another example as to why this way of thinking is always better. What started off as a mixed bag of parts, has transformed into a rolling art piece. It's subtle JIC body kit doesn’t disrupt the lines of the car, while its carbon-fiber hood adds both style and function to the chassis. The Volk GT-C wheels catch your eyes as it compliments the beautiful Lamborghini Diablo paint job.  Melendez didn’t just focus on the exterior though, the 1JZ-GTE engine is boosted with a Garret T78 turbocharger. All and all, this is one hell of a ride!

Calitrisc 1995 Lexus SC 300

Like a scene from a movie, this car manages to attract all of your attention. The flawless stock Diamond White Pearl paint brings the winter to Las Vegas which the car calls home. The perfect paint is then complimented with a set of Work VSKF 18x9/11 wheels. The simplicity of this car is one of its best attributes, sporting a Fujin lip and JDM visors, everything manages to come together in a beautifully sculpted package. It's no wonder this was a feature car in Hellaflush magazine.

AJ Gillet’s Sick SC 300 Drift car

One of the most alluring aspects of stance culture is that a car doesn’t have to be clean. It doesn’t have to have an amazing paint job or a set of the most expensive wheel set ups. All it has to have is a cool personality, and Gillet’s SC 300 really nails that idea here. Instead of revitalizing the aesthetics he kept some of the more raggedy aspects of the car to showcase an aggressive, “I don’t care” attitude. This car was driven, in rain or snow and drifted daily.

Bobby Sanders 1999 SC 300

Aren’t you tired of seeing run down and beat up SC 300s? Just like the rest posted here, Bobby Sander’s car was an anomaly. It set the standard of what could be if someone took the time to care for and maintain their car. Sitting on a set of BC coilovers, his ride had an aggressive front-end to modest rear-end drop. Besides the near-perfect paint, the staggered Stance SC5 wheels bring it all together. Unfortunately, Sanders has since sold this ride and according to his Instagram, the person who purchased it wrecked it. So let's all take a moment of silence for what was one of the cleanest SC 300 in existence.

Howiedoit’s 1996 VIP SC 300

It's rare when someone can produce a style that makes everyone stop to look. Howiedoit’s SC 300 has it all, from a perfectly blended interior to a pristine paint job. Even some of the smaller details, such as the blackout trim pieces on the A/C front bumper, do a good job of setting off the rest of the car.

The stance itself is perfect, balanced from the front to the rear, leaving a small gap of space between the ground and the car. BBS LM’s wheels sit staggered and tucked on HKS Hypermax coilovers. To finish it all off, it has a custom 3 stage base white with a gold pearl that really pops under the sun.
